Kitchen 'Face-lift' UPDATED WITH PICS on pg 2
Well....my husband is away for 2 weeks and I decide to start our kitchen facelift by myself!!
Basically, what we are doing it painting the cabinets (inside and out) replacing all the hardware, painting the walls, putting up a chair rail, replacing the countertops, the sink, the light fixture and the floor!!
WOW...after I write it all down...it seems like alot!!
I took pictures of the before...I will post them when we get some work done!!
Think of me this weekend!!

You are too funny, go to it girl!!! You are like that Home Depot commercial with the guy who redoes the bathroom (or something ) for his wife before she gets home.Good Luck, can't wait to see some pictures.

Go Lisa! I'm impressed. that is a lot of work to be doing all by yourself. Can you get anyone to help you? I'll be thinking of you! When you're done, can you come and do mine

Re: Kitchen 'Face-lift'
My parents are going to help me with the painting. My grandfather is going to help me replace the hood...ohh I didnt mention that!! LOL the hood over the stove is shot...hasnt worked since the day we moved it so we are ripping down the old one, rewiring if necessary, then replacing with a brand new one. That in its self is going to be a job and a half!! The hood goes all the way up tot he top of the cabinets, so when we take it down, I will put in a small cabinet (like over the refrigerator) then the hood!! Woo hooo....more cabinet space!!

Re: Kitchen 'Face-lift'
Lisa, I can't wait to see the change. Good luck, hope you get it all completed. My parents did their kitchen by themselves and it is gawjus. I love my parent's home, they did so much work on it by themselves. They get such joy out of doing it and seeing it to completion. Hope all goes smoothly
