kitchen knives....help!! Concerned about registry

My best friend is on her 2nd set of Henckels knives....she's had problems with them rusting and with the tips of the steak knives bending...I registered for Henckels thinking they were one of the better sets out there....HELP!!

IMO...they are the best. I really haven't heard of any problems with them until now. Maybe she shoulud contact the manufacturer directly.

Sabatier and Wusthof are excellent. I have a set of Sabatier for my everyday set, and a few individual Wusthof specialty knives. The Japanese carving is amazing! Sabatier are more reasonable pricewise. I've had no rusting/bending problems at all.

ETA: Is she putting them in the dishwasher? Sometimes knives will rust when left in the dishwasher still wet, no matter how good they are.

we have henckels and love them. Haven't had any problems. perhaps she's not caring for them properly?

I have both henckles and sabatier. I like my sabatier chef knife better than my henckle chef knife. that's JMO

perhaps shes not caring for them.....

also there are 2 different types of henkles...
the cheaper ones which arent forged....

and the more expensive ones which are forged in germany, that may make a difference

I have Henckels too...I'd say she may not be caring for them properly.
