kitchenaid mixer question

for your registries, are y'all going with teh 5qt artisan or the 90th anniversary edition?

I currently have the 90th anniversary edition, but I am wondering if the difference in price will make it less likely that someone would purchase it. Anyone else register for it?

Yeah, I considered switching it over to the new one, but I like that I can choose the color on the other instead.

i like the red, its the not having to turn the bowl that has me interested, you dont need to be standing over it to make sure that everything gets mixed.

We ended up going with the new Architect series and we got the stand mixer, hand mixer, food processor and blender all in the same cocoa silver color.

I've got the artisan on my registry but I wanted the black one...if you want the red..go for it! The price difference isn't too crazy.

I have never turned the bowl on my stand mixer..... and it mixes really well....never have to stand guard over it.

i bought FH the artisan mixer a couple years ago for Christmas. he absolutely loves it. i love it because it gets him to make desserts more regularly. he must have mixed a million batches of homemade chocolate chip cookies by hand before we had it.

all I want is a PINK one (mind you, they donate at least 10% to breast cancer research)... and FH said NO!
He doesn't want anything pink in the kitchen... originally I wanted to get ALL pink appliances, but I knew that was just way too overboard, but the mixer... I really want it!

i'm going ot tempt you even more. Sometimes Kohl's has the pink 1 on sale for $180 and you can use a 15% or 20% off coupon too

I know... I found it somewhere the other day REALLY cheap... I put it on our (macy's) regs (we just started them) and told FH and he said NO, he's taking it off... we got into a 'fight' at bbb over this...
