She belives they're about 6 wks old, not fixed yet, they're a little young.

I'm partial to the little stripey b/c he looks like my Mimacat! But I already have 3; anymore would qualify me as a crazy cat lady.

I dont think they've had any medical care yet at all. She just got them. Someone abandoned them at an apartment complex of another girl that we work with.

i love kitties. I've already got 3 myself. and I already consider myself a crazy cat lady. I would love to have a kitten but we can't bring anything in that hasn't been checked out by a vet. It would put our babies at risk.
I can pass on the info about them though, they are SUPER cute!!

omg, they're adorable. FH and I have been thinking about getting a friend for our cat. She's about 2 1/2. She's very sweet, but somewhat bizarre and since she's our only baby she's completely spoiled. My question is, since you have 3, do you think our cat would have an issue adjusting? As much as we'd love to get her some company (I think it might make her less insane sometimes) I don't want to cause her any undue stress. From your experience, what do you think?

It totally depends on the cat.
It almost always takes some time for the first cat to adjust. All of our cats have had to deal with it at one point.
They are all fine. (Weird as heck, but fine lol)

The thing is, you can't just bring the cat in and let it loose. You have to let it adjust to it's new surroundings on it's own, and then introduce the other cat to it slowly. usually keeping the new cat in one room for a few days does the trick.
Don't treat your first cat differantly, don't ignore it, or let it think you're giving the other one 'too much' attention.

Don't be alarmed at the hissing.

Were you able to leave them in the house alone while they were still adjusting to each other? I'm just wondering if this is something that will require me to take a week off of work so that I don't come home and find one of them in pieces.

My cat is the same way. I feel like she would want some company, but I dont think cats are like that. They get very territorial. I tried bringing my friends cat here and she hissed and threw a fit. My sister brought her puppy over and she smacked it up. That dog got abused. If she's spoiled it might really piss her off and she could start acting out (like spraying around the house) Do you have a Calico by any chance?

Oh and I tried to have a puppy but she wouldnt have it. I had to lock her in the bathroom once while the puppy was here cause I was afraid she was gonna kill him

She is a calico, technically a diluted calico, but yeah. And she's soooo spoiled. She seriously thinks she's the head of the household. Not only that, she think she's FH's wife I think. She loves him WAY more than me and she could be laying on the floor minding her own business but if I go sit next to FH on the couch I swear to god she struts over with tail in the air and wedges herself in between us, it's hysterical. She wants him all to herself, it cracks me up. We brought FFIL's dog over one day and she sat up on the arm of the couch in full-on attack position with all her hair on end, she looked like a blowfish, and stared him down so much that he ran out of the room wimpering. And he's a bulldog. We were dying laughing.

OMG! I knew she was a Calico. My doc said Calico's are very territorial and they only like their owners most of the time. Mine is my baby but she loves to sleep on FH when he is home or when were together she likes to sleep on both of us(cause were hardly every home together) Theyre so POSSESSIVE! But I love her attitude, maybe cause she reminds me of me. lol Its so funny how they can get a big dog to cower away isnt it??!!

I love her attitude too. She really makes me laugh the way she struts around the house like she owns the place. She's like a modern independent woman who doesn't take $hit from anybody, except she's a cat.

I had my Mima for about 8 months and she was the only cat. Totally spoiled, and she also has asthma so I totally baby this cat. I got Lily and Claudette when they were only 3 weeks old, and at first Mima wanted NO part of them. She'd either swat them in the head, or pretend they werent even around. I kept them seperate for about 2-3 weeks. The kittens stayed in the bathroom and Mima got the run of the place. I was so nervous, but I decided to let them together. In about 3 hours they were totally adjusted and they've been together every since. In fact, I just took the kittens on Tues to be spayed, and Mima cried all day until they came home the next day b/c she was lonely. Originally when I was concerned about Mima not being nice to the kittens I spoke with my vet about it, and he told me that either the cats will be 'friends' or they will just live independantly of eachother and not acknowlege eachother's existance, but generally house cats don't all-out fight.
