Yeah she knows lol.. We've been talking about this b/c I had rooms blocked there for my wedding and I had to relocate all of my guests to the GCH.
The last I heard they set 8/10 as their official opening date.

Yup thats what the current situation is. They are opening this weekend for friends and family...and are supposedly still on for my date.

They have 2 floors of rooms, including the suites complete as well as the restaurant, bar and banquet room. Its the ceremony that we still haven't figured out because the rooftop is incomplete.

As you can imagine, I am losing my mind! I feel like a panicked freak everytime i read what other girls are up to on here because I'm 38 days out and sooooooooooooooooooooo far behind on my planning!!!!!!! Everyones like 'are you ready???' and im like ummmmmmm NOT REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think its a good idea, but I have to figure out how to get FH to agree to me pissing more money away on this wedding, hahaha

I have lived in LB since 1987, when I was 3 we moved from Brooklyn

And I'm having some guests stay there in Late October. i can't believe this is being pushed back so much! I wish they would just realized their to-do list and get an accurate date already!

Hey Girls..

I just recently went and saw the inside of the Allegria.. i was anxious to see it bc mine will be in the near future.. and i have a bit of good & bad news..

the place is going to be absolutely gorgeous! the things they have in place like furniture, decor.. etc.. stunning!

however.. the ballroom is a bit smaller than i had expected.. it literally fits 200 ppl.. i feel like it can get a bit crowded if it were to be at max capacity.. and the dance floor i thought was a wee bit smaller than i had thouhgt.. but the room is gorgeous -- the chandeliers from the ceiling are beautiful..

the rooms are gorgeous as well

so the bad news is that i really think from what they have left to do.. they are about a month or even more til they will be done.. they said Aug 17 but i think its a stretch..
they have a lot of tiling to do in the lobby..
the roof is nowhere near done.. although the view from the roof is breathtaking.. endless ocean views.. but the pool isnt in yet.. and the flooring & gaurd rail glass wall isnt put in yet..
i think its closer to opening sometime in september..

KittyGags - not to be the bad guy but i would seriously consider a backup situation or start talking to them about that (i heard from a friend who knew someone that was supposed to be getting married earlier there this summer that they relocated her to the ritz carlton in the city and paid for the whole thing)

the workers are there i think everyday but if they were to open in 2 weeks.. i really feel like there needs to be a LOT more of them there than there are in actually.

They have a lot of the major things done.. not counting the roof - the whole upper spa area andthat whole floor isnt even painted or anything
& the outside balcony off of the cocktail hour place needs a lot of work..
The big 'lounge room/atrium' thats supposed to be the backup picture location is nowhere near done.. no paint on walls.. nothing empty
a lot of the furniture is in place..
the ballroom is practically done jsut putting some speakers in the ceiling
The lobby still needs some work.. along with the overhang over the lobby - i think that needs a lot of work.
And a lot of the 'little' things for the rooms fixing furniture.. door knobs cabinet things..
but all the little things they have to do adds up to a lot of time. plus then the actual inspections & the moving in and making sure the staff is organized i think will take awhile..

I agree, I am not confident at this point. But they have my money and I can't do anything until they relocate me. So I have to wait...I've called a few places that have my date open, so we shall see....

Honestly I ran in the house when I got home and grabbed my camera, battery was dead, I took 3 pics.

The banquet room is gorgeous as is the lounge, its very close to done just nothing else is. I think I'm relocating. I have no where to have my ceremony. I'm 29 days away, I'm not sure why you're freaking out, you have over a YEAR. (not trying to be rude, but really, you do)
