What is a conference bridge?

A conference bridge is a 1-800 number that I have dedicated to me. Anytime I have a meeting, I call into the number and other people can call into it as well, as long as they have the passcode. It eliminates the difficulty of trying to 'conference' 10 people into one phone call.
