Re: Kleinfelds
A lot of the brides on here have used them, and I think I've heard mostly great experiences. I'm pretty sure hayleyandsteve and nina both bought their dresses there.
I made an appointment with them, but had to cancel because something came up. Fortunately I called far enough in advance so they did not charge me for the cancellation.
In the end because I am so busy at work and have limited time available to travel to the city for appointments, fittings, etc. it was just easier for me to do things locally.

Re: Kleinfelds
Kleinfeld was great for me. I didn't find the salespeople pushy at all, my dress came in on time, and my alterations were done beautifully. I think they give a price range of dresses and take a credit card # when you make an appt. just so they make sure they get people who are serious about shopping for a dress and not just to see what Kleinfeld is like.

Re: Kleinfelds
I bought my dress there and loved it!! I had also tried a few other salons before going there. So I had narrowed down my search and knew more or less that I was looking for a specifac designer . Not sure if that makes a difference. But I loved the experience from start to finish. I ended up buying an Ann Barge dress and went to her trunk show at Kleinfelds. While trying on a bunch of her dresses Anne Barge came over and introduced herself. She took all my measurements--and customized the fit of my dress. My alterations were done by Josephine and I loved her as well!! She was a great seamstress and I requested her based on a lot of LIW brides recommended her.
I think anywhere you go you'll find people have both good & bad reviews. I think with Kleinfelds you have an appointment that's only and hour and a half and that might limit some people when they are shopping where as smaller salons will give you all day. Give them a try you only shopfor a dress once -- at least go for the experience
