I know quite a few people who went there just for the experience. If you want to do it I say go for it!
I got my dress at Kleinfeld! I must have tried on 50 dresses at other stores but the second one I tried at Kleinfeld was the one and was actually a Kleinfeld exclusive so I couldn't have found it elsewhere. I worked with Paula and she was AMAZING. It really is exactly like the show. I only brought 2 people but there were girls there who had waaay more than 4, one group had to go in the dressing room in shifts! I know some brides have had less than pleasant experiences there but I think it has everything to do with who your consultant is.

I don't plan on going to Kleinfeld unless I absolutely cannot find a dress I like somewhere on the island but I did go with my friend when she got married a few years ago. She brought most of her bridesmaids with her (there were five of us) and we were all able to sit in the fitting room with her and help her out. We had so much fun and her consultant, Sarah, was great!
I had my heart set on going to Klienfelds but I heard a lot if negative things about it...which was surprising! I knew that the on,y places that had my dream dress was Klienfelds and RK bridal. I went to RK and saved a ton of money of the same dress that I would have gotten from Klienfelds.
My sister went to Kleinfelds and bought her dress there. I went with her and it was a really fun experience. She brought 5 people there, although my dad came late from work. She got the 2nd dress she tried on... they were all wonderful! Even if you just go for the experience I would definitely do it! They are really good at what they do though... so be prepared to possibly walk out with your dream dress :)
I'm sure it's a great experience. I just didn't go because I didn't want to travel to the city knowing I didn't want to buy there. enjoy!!!

I was going to go there, but Sarah (who used to be the favorite consultant at Kleinfeld's) quit Kleinfeld's and now works at Pronovias in Manhattan- I really wanted a lace gown, which Pronovias is known for, and I still felt like I got the 'Kleinfeld' treatment because Sarah helped me find the dress.. I would make an appt. at both, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon- you might want to have 2 appts just incase you don't find what you want at the first one
It's so fun if anything else just go for the experience . I got my dress there and it wasn't crazy they really work with you ... One thing I will say is get there early you will have a better expierience and the consultant was awesome not pushy.good luck!
