When was your first fitting? 2,3,4 months before wedding? I have gained 15lbs since I was measured so I'm trying to gage how much time I have to get my butt in gear and lose this weight!

My first was exactly 10 weeks prior, and did 2 more over the next 5-6 weeks. My dress was in my hands just over 2 weeks prior to my wedding, had mine done at someones house though. I even felt that I had dragged things out, there was a definite lack of communication on her part as to when it was ready and what step was next. (no complaints as I intentionally gave myself a little extra time)

Jan seems about right so don't stress. I didn't need much work, just hem, reattaching some beading that was coming undone, attaching the straps, bustle and steaming. If you need a ton of stuff done maybe a little sooner but prob would be tough in Dec cause of the holidays
