I am going to Kleinfeld's to look for my dress in December, and I am prepared to buy my dress that day, if I fall in love with one. My mom and my aunt keep on telling me how much more money dresses are there (I don't know where they got this information--I'm wondering if it's an assumption) and I am the kind of person who knows what I like when I see it. So, if I love a dress there, should I get it, or look for it somewhere else? Are they really more expensive? I have been dreaming about going to Kleinfeld's since I first saw SYTTD and I am going dress shopping, not dress browsing!

its not that they are more expensive, its just that they have more wedding dresses than anywhere else in the world and they have dresses that range from $1,500 up to God knows how much... so i think people think that all of the dresses are super expensive. but tell them what your budget is and they will stick to it! although you can always look around and see if they have your dress someone where else for cheaper - you never know, someone might and get it from somewhere else.

From what I have heard they have a ton of dresses.. They might be a bit more pricey than other Bridal Salons but If you find 'the one' go for it!!!!

i just got my dress from kleinfeld last night.
i think the cost of a dress is determined by the designer. there was a dress that i was going to get at a smaller, less well-known boutique that was charging roughly the same price as kleinfeld. when i told kleinfeld that i could get the same dress for slightly cheaper, they worked with me.

the only thing id say is more expensive are their alterations. but id say people say they're expensive bc they sell designers that cost 10k as well as designers that cost 2k.

amy, i completely agree.. alterations are a flat fee of $595.

It varies, from what I remember, the maggie Sottero I liked was slightly more expensive than in another store and their alterations are more expensive so I think it depends on budget, designer and ur heart :)
