Kleinfelds Reviews?

Hello girls! I am wondering if anyone has Kleinfeld reviews, or another store close to Kleinfelds in Manhattan that you've been to and liked. I have an appt at Kleinfelds, but I am also looking for another place or two to dress shop. I have heard really great things about the customer service and alterations at Kleinfelds.
I am not looking to spend 10k either. Hopefully @ 2-3k.
Thanks! Suzy

i dont know other stores near kleinfelds but i will say i had a great experience there. I told them my budget was$2500 and they had a lot for me to pick from. I also worked with Rita who had a heave accent but was not at all pushy - she did not pressure me to buy a dress which was my big concern about going there.
you should have a great time there! good luck

Go to Pronovia's! It's on 5th avenue. Their customer service is amazing, puts Kleinfeld's to shame.
But it also depends on what kind of dress you want. Kleinfeld's has flashier, blingier gowns. Pronovias is a Barcelona based designer, so they have more European styles. Not as flashy, but very elegant and sexy.
And surprisingly pronovias is veryyy affordable! The dress I liked the most was 1.5k. When the consultant read the price, I had to ask her to repeat because I thought she made a mistake. The dress was made from very nice organza, and I was expecting at least a 4k pricetag! I think you have a much better chance at finding a nice dress there on your budget.
From my experience, unless you are willing to spend 4-5k+, it is hard to find anything amazing at Kleinfelds.
Just my 2 cents.

Ohhh, thank you! I will def check it out. I am not looking for flashy, I am having a vineyard wedding, I still want to look like a bride, but probably not beading and all of the serious detail.
I am going to google them right now.
TY!!
I am still going to keep the Kleinfeld's appt, I think it's special for my MIL to go there...she has been watching Say Yes for like 6 months now! :)

You should also try:

- Birnbaum and Bullock - they have dresses under the Robert Bullock line that are under $2K and the place itself is very stress-free!

- Lovely Bridal - down in the village and has cheaper dresses as well!

I've also had a great experience at Kleinfeld and bought my dress there! I highly recommend them, and they'll definitely work with your budget!

Ditto re: Pronovias! Also beautiful!

I hated Bergdorf, by the way. Terrible service, and they didn't even ask my budget, so I only found out later that the dresses they pulled for me were all around $10,000!

I second this. I did not have a good experience at Kleinfeld's, but I loved Lovely and they have plenty of dresses that would be great for a vineyard wedding.

Saks has a great Bridal department, try them out. I also went to Amsale a little more pricier but amazing dresses

SSteph, you're getting married on my Birthday! Yippee!

Thank you. Do you know if they have 14/16 sample sizes at Provania's?

Re: Kleinfelds Reviews?

I had an AMAZING experience at Kleinfeld!!!

When we went there I was treated like a princess the entire time.. my budget was less than 2000 and they were able to accommodate me. I tried so many dresses and had thought I knew which dress I wanted before I went (I had tried it on at another store but it was way over my budget) and my consultant at Kleinfeld found me a similar dress that I loved even more in my budget. They came down on the price for us too.

Since we purchased the dress customer service has been amazing.. I email them all the time with questions and they are so prompt and give me so much more than I asked for... for example I had emailed customer service asking for the style number of my dress because I couldn't find pictures online adn they emailed me back with all of their photos of the dress from their inventory... I emailed them asking how I could go about obtaining a swatch of fabric and the lace on my dress and they sent it to me a few days later!

I have nothing but nice things to say about them!
