No, it can happen. A family that I was their nanny for many years, one of the boys was conceived while the mom was on TWO forms of birth control. Crazy, right!
I also know that certain antibiotics lessens the strength of the pill and you can get pregnant then as well. For the most part, the pill is excellent, but there are those rare occasions!!!![]()

On another TTC board I post on just THIS MORNING I read about a woman who went in to get her refill and they did a PG test...came abck +..she got whisked over for an U/s and they found out she was 5 months preggo!
So yes, I now believe it can happen.

Yes you can get pregnant on the pill, I am an example of this. I just found out I am pregnant this past Saturday when I went to the GYN for routine checkup for a refill on my pills...I am so confused at this point, not sure what I am going to do. I already have a 6 year old and there is so much going on right now.... I am planning a wedding, trying to find a new job, etc..... So yes again to answer your question, this could happen.

I have been feeling sick, and thought it might be a 'with child' kind of sick, but NOPE, I took a test and it's neg.

So if you get PG while you are on the pill then AF does not show up during that last week of pills? Is that how you found out?

AF didnt show up that week. I had cramps like they were coming, but they never did. So I let the whole week pass and started a new pack bc there were times that I didn't get AF do to stressful times. But something in me told me to take a test bc I knew I was feeling different.

Did all of these girls take the pill the same time, every day and not any antibiodics during the course of time? I honestly believe that the pill is effective if taken properly every day, same time. A lot of people say they got prego on the pill, but also said they missed just one day or something like that. I don't know, never happened to me thankfully yet, but I trust the pill.

I kind of feel the same way. In 5 years I have never missed a day, and when taken effectively my doctor said it is 99.9% effective...

Also, if the pill doesn't absorb because you have diarrehea or have vomitted. That could be a reason that people get pregnant while on the pill. Most people that I know who are on the pill don't know that their body may not absorb the pill because of this.
