Knowing what you know now about planning the wedding...

with everything going on and all the stress would you plan another wedding? I keep telling my friends that I would never have done this, I would have flown off to Las Vegas or an Island. I keep counting down to the HM not the wedding, how sad is that.

Nope. When we moved the wedding up and made it smaller, FH said that we could try to have a big wedding sometime next year with all the people we couldn't invite and I told him that I doubted we'd ever do it.

Now I know...unless someone else is paying and planning the entire thing for me...NOT A CHANCE IN HELL! Once is more than enough for me, thank you.

I know when the day comes that I will appreciate all of the planning, but I would never do it over again!! To much added stress!!

No I wouldn't. I would go to the carribean like we had originally planned. We were trying to please everybody, and so many people don't care anyway. We've encountered so many people who just do and say what they want. I'm really fed up with people at this point

hmmm...i would have done things differently, yes. a part of me would have had us get a place of our own awhile ago and had a small wedding or even eloped. i'm loving what we will have, but i would have done it differently. yet, i may have regretted not having a big affair. hindsight is always 20/20

I love planning... my friend got engaged after me and i want to plan her wedding...
It can get stressful but its all worth it...

That about sums it up for me.

It's all about the green. I don't mind the planning. I am fairly easy going about this stuff and anal about organizing. So it's been fun. But the stress of not having the money has bothered me endlessly!

i guess i will only really know after the big day... currently i am upset that we will have to delay the home purchase for another few years, but that was the trade-off we had to make!

I would do it again but this time do it sooner. I would not have waited this long. It will be 1 yr and 4 months. I could have done it in a shorter time period

I would do it all over again in a HEARTBEAT. The entire thing! I am loving every minute of this and have not yet felt stressed.

I made a pledge to my FI and myself (even before we were engaged) that the minute this stops being fun, we fly to Vegas and get married by Elvis.

We are almost done with the big planning (only the florist and the honeymoon to go) and even he admits I have stuck to my promise.

No way. The stress almost killed me. As good as the wedding was, it was 5 hours of my life and the stress lasted months! If I HAD to do it again...there would be no bridal party.

Although it can get stressful, I know if I didn't have the wedding I dreamed of as a kid, I would regret it down the road. There is a reason every girl plans her wedding very young. It might be easier, but I would regret it later in life.

DITTO!!!!!!!!!
It's sad, but I really cant wait until it is over. I am trying not to stress on all the details, but I can say different for my mom and FMIL. All I hear is 'Did you call the DJ, did you pick out the flowers, did you buy your stockings?' and so on. Now the drama is whether my mom's Godson or FI aunt will be singing the Ave Maria at the wedding!
