KOC - Knights of Columbus in Oceanside

Didn't we have a bride use Knights of Columbus (KOC) in Oceanside for a reception (or was it e-party?)

I never saw a review or pics? Anyone have pics.

I hear they have wedding reception packages for under $50pp and that the place is nicer than a lot of typical halls?

Re: KOC - Knights of Columbus in Oceanside

Hey Katrina- I have not been there (sorry) but knew people who volunteered there (during parties) and it's a very nice place, from what I hear. Sorry I can't be of more help!! I do work Saturdays about 2 blocks from there!

I haven't come accross anyone on this board yet, but if you do get a response, please let me know. If there are reviews and/or pics, I'd love to see what people have to say and how they set up the room. thanks

I guess I'm inherently cheap. Now that we have $25K set aside, I don't want to spend it all on one day.

Problem is FI won't agree to elope in Mexico. He already picked out the first dance song. It's sweet that he wants the big shindig but it's too costly since the list hovers between 170 - 196.

Re: KOC - Knights of Columbus in Oceanside

My two cents..

When I was looking I had a girlfriend check the place out for me she works right down the block. She told me not to waist my time..I trust her judgement. She knows my taste..

Most of them are at home. I''l have to get back to you on those.
Its a really nice place and do offer a lot for your money. I would check it out. John is the BM there. Speak to him. I had about 120 people there and a buffet style dinner..cost was around $5000.

Re: KOC - Knights of Columbus in Oceanside

Hey Katrina
I was the one who told you about it awhile back. I still havent come across my daughters pics but her party was downstairs in the smaller room and we are planning her Sweet 16 there in the upstairs room. My son is having his confirmation party downstairs in June. I love the place. FH friend had her daughters Sweet 16 there downstairs though and that's when we started having parties there. My bestfriend has been to a few weddings there and she is real picky and loved it. FH bestfriends brother got married there and no complaints. Im sure I could come up with more. Im sorry about the pics though. I can FM you the number if you want to take a look. I do know they renovated a week before my daughters party and that was 2yrs. ago.

Re: KOC - Knights of Columbus in Oceanside

I went to a christening there a few years ago and thought it was great. Good sized dance floor from what I remember. I assume the CH would be in the same reception room. I doubt you'd have a bridal suite or even a separate restroom.

Keep in mind, it's still a KofC -- it's not going to compare to the other halls you've seen. I would have been fine with having our wedding there but FH disagreed.

You may also want to check out the Memorae Club in Seaford, which is also a KofC. I've never been there, but I've read good things about it.

Re: KOC - Knights of Columbus in Oceanside

I live a few blocks away from the Oceanside Knights of Columbus and have been to quite a few parties there. The upstairs room is HUGE and great for a wedding! The food is good too. You should really take the time out and check it out. I actually wanted to have my wedding there.

Re: KOC - Knights of Columbus in Oceanside

I think it would be great for a wedding on a budget. You stay in the same room though and there is not a view but from the pics I posted on EBP the room is huge. You dont get the wow effect when you drive up like you do most halls but who the heck is going to be outside that long.
