Unfortunately there is nothing the US can do right now. They aren't going to 'get out of iraq'. And its known policy that we 'do not negotiate with terrorists'.

Sucks... but there isn't much else that can be done.

They killed this man to get the South Koreans to not send troops into Iraq.

Frankly you have to admit it's a great plan. Kill innocent people and give stupid unrealistic deadlines. That way you get the message across and you can make it SEEM like you gave them a 'chance' to save an innocent man.

That man never had a chance.

These terrorist are smart. They can't beat the US in war. Not with the troops who are there, so they're working to elimate those troops by spreading fear in those countries which support the cause or send troops in.

In a sick and twisted way it's the reverse of Bush's cry that no country which harbors terrorism shall be ignored. For them it's if you habor or assist in freedom or good you shall be targeted. There the US is still mostly political about that view, they will just terrorize until they get what they want. Which is something we won't do.
