So I joined a gym for the first time in a decade. I'm so lost there! They had a service to 'design a program' but the guy showed me three machines and left me on my own. I can use the aerobic machines, but all of the other stuff looks like medieval torture devices! I don't know what to use. I don't want to bulk up like a body builder, should I just stay with the elliptical?

Re: KWR: The gym
If you are trying to burn fat...muscle burns fat. So it is best to do cardio and weights, because the more muscle you gain the more it helps you burn fat. So it should be a mix. Usually if you ask someone who works in your gym they will show you how to use the machines properly, or on the side of the machine there is directions and what body part the machine works out.

Should I just go in line doing all of the machines or are some better than others? Thanks, I'm so confused and I'm sure I look like a fool when I am there.
