For those of you whose reception hall uses this bakery, did you or are you doing a cake tasting?

I don't have them, unfortunately. This is my FAVORITE bakery! The chocolate cake with the vanilla mousse (or white chocolate mousse.. forget which) is absolutely worth fighting for! At my engagement party a few years ago people were actually fighting over it. My friend, who is a professional baker even said they did a fantastic job and he has desciminating taste. Definitely check them out and do a tasting.

I guess I really wanted to know if everyone is doing a cake tasting. I was not sure if that is the norm

Yup! I did a tasting at their Port Jeff location. Just call up, tell them that you're getting married at [RH] and want to schedule a tasting and they'll make an appointment for you.
That is where I am going. Did you do an upgrade, or just get the cake that Giorgio's includes?

Omg, my cake was amazing!! Like people said it was the best wedding cake they've ever had!
I did a tasting at their sister location, Dortonis. Anything you get is so good.
I upgraded my cake. If you go with the standard your fillings are limited. I felt it was worth the extra money for a fondant cake with a different filling than what was offered.
Fm for any questions

I did. I know it's real early for it but it was one of the easier things to get off my to do list. When I met with Corey he told me I was able to just call up and let them know what flavors I wanted to try, and then I brought them home for us to taste, or u can do it there, either way
