La Casa Grande

This post has taken me a year to write, but I want to make sure that people are careful when using La Casa Grande for cigars. They messed up pretty badly on my wedding day - they were supposed to come for an hour at midnight for my after party. I was very careful with the date/time on my contract as it was technically 12am the following day, so I didn't want there to be any confusion. After all of this, they showed up at 8pm instead, in the middle of my dinner. The guy set up in the cocktail hour room, and no one noticed him for a while. Finally someone told me, and I spoke with the very rude woman who was with him. She showed me an invoice that said 8pm, but the bride's name on the invoice was not mine (they got the groom's name right!). It seemed as if they had merged two weddings into one invoice, and went to the wrong one first. My labels had the wrong bride's name on them so they couldn't be used. I told her I didn't need them there in the middle of dinner when everyone was eating. She said she would do me a 'favor' and come back around 12:15. I wasn't appreciative of her tone with me, but at least they came back at around the right time. I was pissed about the labels, and even more pissed that while I was out dealing with them, the band had started playing music (since dinner had ended) and my husband and I had our first dance a few songs into the night (although no one even noticed that happened).

I contacted them after the wedding asking for some money back for the fiasco and for not getting labels, but I never heard from them again.

If you're going to use them, make sure you re-confirm date/time/labels a couple of days before the wedding! I did confirm with them 3 days before the wedding but that didn't seem to help.

I agree. They were the only problem at my wedding. They called me the week befor and confirmed details. Just to be extra safe I called them the day before to reconfirm. That night they showed up over an hour late- problem being most of the guests had already left (after cake) and I'd say the majority of guests didn't even know I had a cigar roller. What really makes me angry is I got them on the phone wedding night when my reception hall said they hadn't arrived and they said they were 10 min away' we waited 15 then went on without them. Not only was that a lie, they held the dessert up and were still 45 min away. I called them on redial about 50 times that night with no answer, when they did arrive they said they were stuck in traffic. 1. Yea right at midnight? And 2. Being professional means you plan ahead. I was pissed. My reception hall told me the following day they were very unprofessional.
