Re: La Familgia
Funny that you asked about this place, (is it the one on Brooksite ?).. Because DH and I noticed that it is JAM PACKED every time we pass by it, regardless of the time of day! and we didnt know if it was a good place or not, because it has changed ownership like twice in the 2 years we've been here.It must be great if the parking lot is always full to the max !

It is the one on Brooksite. It seems to be getting more packed as time goes on so they must have good word of mouth!!The other restaurants before it were always empty

I don't know anything about La Familigia... but I had my RD at Venezia in Smithtown, and it was excellent. You'd really like it. We had about 30 people. If you want to know anything else, let me know!

We are going to have my RD there. It is really good food, served family style. It is a nice casual place with good service.

Re: La Familgia
I've been there a number of times. Once with about 14 people. We had a great time. Our waiter brought us this shot I still have no idea what it was, but he gave us a bottle and a half of it, on the house. But another time we went, the service was ok, we didn't have as many people with us, but we were disappointed. I guess it's a hit or miss kind of thing. The food is good. All your basic Italian dishes. If you're going with over 8 people you can call for reservations. It's all ala carte menu, and the proportions are for 2. Hope this helps!
