does anyone know how much la fitness is a month? what type of contracts there are? how much regisration is etc..i tried calling them and they would give me NO info on the phone and i dont want to waste a trip going there if its to exensive.

im a member there.. sign up is 150. and its 50$ a month. my moh went to sign up a few weeks ago and they tried ripping her off telling her its 60-70(cant remember) a month. thank god she called me and gave my name.. they honored the 50$ a month. i got so angry with the gym! but the 1 i 'go to' in new hyde park is AMAZING.
u can also freeze ur membership at any time with no penalty

I wouldn't go unless you want to be hounded by obnixious sales people. I believe you are locked in the contract. We went when we got a free pass and the sales guy was really pushy and really obnixious. And the layout of the place was wierd. I don't know how the ones in Long Island are bc I'm not from there..it may be different. Did you look at their website?

the sales ppl are a lil annoying, but thats anywhere u go.. and u are def NOT locked in a contract. that gym doesnt have a contract. u just pay each month and u can cancel at any time.

i used to be a member. it's $50 a month. I thought they were awesome but i just couldnt afford it after awhile so i cancelled.

Guess he lied to us too bc I'm pretty positive he said there was a contract. But then again I was pretty zoned out while he was talking lol so maybe there wasn't.

ok good..i hate being locked into a contract bc if i hate it then im screwed...they just built a brand new one not far from where i live and i was thinking bout joinin...i was a member of lucille roberts and i hated it so i def want to try sumthin diff...what is included in that monthly price if you dnt mind me askin?

i get full use of the gym, dance rooms, all the classes (belly dancing, yoga,pillates, aerobics spin ) steam rooms, saunas, jacuzzis, swimming pools.
i think the only thing u have to pay extra for is the raquet ball

I've been a member for 6 years..best gym, no contracts and only $49 per month for full access. I use the Lake Success and sometimes the Farmingdale gym.

me and john belong there. when we signed up they had a special...it was a family plan and the sign up was $150 for 2 people....so it was like $75 for each of us cuz she signed us on on that family deal. it $50 a month and no contracts..month to month.
it is a little pricier than some other places but you have to weigh it out. we were gonna cancel and join Planet Fitness for $10 a month but there was a lot to give up. LA Fitness is a gorgeous gym...it has a pool, jacuzzi, sauna's, spinning room, aerobics room, tons of machines, racquetball, jucie bar, free child care services...they offer a lot. and the one i go to in farmingdale i love! they also have pretty good hours
