La Grange Inn?
Has anyone either had their wedding or attended a wedding at the La Grange Inn in West Islip? This is one of the places my FI and I are considering. Any info would be helpful (i.e., cost per person, guarantees, quality of food, atmosphere, etc.). If you'd rather not post the info on the board, feel free to FM me.
TIA!

This is sort of second hand since I wasn't at the wedding but my SIL's father got remarried there and she said it was really nice - good food, cozy atmosphere. It's cute from the outside, I pass it every time I go to my brother's.

Just bumping this up before it gets buried even further
I thought I saw a couple of brides who were having their reception at the La Grange Inn -- I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!

Re: La Grange Inn?
I went to an Expo there...The decor is kind of old--carpets worn, very low ceilings with areas in the middle of the room to divide it...If I remember correctly the food was OK, but I think there are nicer places out there for the same price...I also didn't like that it was just in the middle of the street--no grounds or anything like that--it really is just a restaurant mostly... JMO, good luck!

Re: La Grange Inn?
I went to a wedding there in 2001 and it was very nice. The decor is a little older but the food was good and I think the price was very reasonable. It also had a bar on the premises that had a nice fireplace and piano player (or some other musician). It was good to have someplace to head immediately following the reception that was on site.

fh and i went to check it out. place was nice and everyone seemed helpful, but we are getting married onsite and no place to get married out side or take pictures outside..price was comparable.

I think they have recently changed owners and updated since 2001. I've heard nothing but good things about them from my south shore co-workers.

We wouldn't be getting married there, we already have our ceremony site. Its proximity to our ceremony site is one of the positives, since over half our guests will be coming from out-of-state and are unfamiliar with this area.
Thanks everyone for the information!
