Has anyone used the La Quinta hotel in Garden City for their wedding? When it was the Wingate they offered shuttle service. Just wondering if anyone knew if they still did this?

I went to look at the hotel and I wasnt thrilled, I blocked rooms at Hilton Garden Inn in Westbury,

Did the Hilton offer a shuttle?? Do you know if any other hotels around that area do?
I am getting married a WM too :)

i went there about 2 weeks ago and they told us they still do a shuttle - i believe its one free shuttle for every 15 rooms.

Yes that's correct. Just one thing to keep in mind, if you have people staying 2 nights that counts as 2 rooms.

No they actually have a transportation company that they work with that I will get a shuttle from, I dont have it in front of me but it wasnt too expensive. The Hilton had better rates than La Quinta gave me. Arent you in love with WM????

Nope, they don't. If you block 30 rooms, you get 2 trips. It might be better to use your limo company to book a van that will make several trips for about 2 hours. La Quinta will give you a credit that can be used towards anything else at the hotel though.

How is this hotel...FMIL blocked the rooms thank god bc if it wasn't for her i still wouldn't have had this done haha...i told her just to do la quinta since it has shuttle service but i never went to look at it

it looked okay to me. it still looks pretty new inside - im not sure how long its been there - its plain and a little modern looking which i like b/c the hotel looks up to date. i have pictures that i will post when i get home.
