La Quinta

La Quinta

Ladies who have booked there.... is it nice? Would you recommend? The only thing I didnt feel too comfortable with is the one shuttle to and from your venue.

I've had nightmare stress with the Hilton Garden Inn in Westbury. I need to find another hotel to book at. They obviously do NOT want my business there by the way I have been treated!

I would definitely reccommend La Quinta. The rooms are nice, clean and decent size. They have a continental breakfast for all of the guests. And theyre is a bar for afterwards. I was told that you can get a 2nd shuttle for $150.

ETA: I am sorry that the Hilton is being stupid.

I really like La Quinta in Garden City the rooms were really nice- I spoke with them on Friday and they said they have two shuttles to and from the reception hall...You actually have a choice the shuttles or $150 off a suite if you stay there on your wedding night if you book 15 rooms. Apparently this was a recent change.

nice to know about the 2nd shuttle... i may just pay the $150 and use that as transportation bc we all know how the limo situation has gone for me

to the OP, i visited last week and FH & I were totally impressed with the rooms, cleanliness, and even their size... they have been very courteous to us the time we went and everytime im talked to the sales rep on the phone... my contract is getting emailed to me today so i'll let you know exactly what it entails

I have to agree... I called today and the lady was really nice!!! I explained to her how now I am inbetween hotels and how Hilton Garden Inn at Westbury has treated me so I hope I dont have to deal with any drama at La Quinta.

Do you ladies think one shuttle leaving for your venue and one shuttle returning to the hotel is enough? What if some guests get tired and want to leave a bit earlier? My reception ends at 1:30am and although most of the people coming from OOT are planning on staying till the end.... I dont want the older people to feel like they are 'stuck'

Then on the other hand, I dont want to pay $150 extra if no one uses the extra shuttle back to the hotel.... what do you ladies think I should do?

PS: I asked if I could rent a shuttle through them if i didnt have the 15 rooms blocked and they said yes, it would be around $100 .... hell yeah, me & my dress will be shuttling it to the hall! $100 as oppossed to $250+ for a limo ... shuttle it is!!!!

I am using them and would reccommend them. I am not using the shuttle b/c it wouldn't fit my guests.
