Label help for invitations!!!

I just bought clear 2x4 labels to do the outside of the invitations. But, now I need labels for the inner envelope, right? Should I get smaller labels since all that needs to go on there is their names? HELP!

I just thought of something else... when someone is widowed, my mother seems to think you address the envelope as follows: Mrs. John Smith (using the deceased husbands first name). I found a website that says you can do it using either his name OR hers, depending on what the person prefers to be called. What did you girls do in this case?

i used the same size ones - no one will notice and it really, doesn't 100% matter!

I did put them on the inner envelope so that I could address people in the 'fun way' we know them.

Example - my dad's friend Nick...on the outer envelope - it was the stuffy: Mr. Lomuscio & Family.....but on the inside - on the inner envelope - Nick the Moose & Diane (how we've always known them).

It allowed us to have a more 'friendly' vibe to the invites & people laughed at seeing their nicknames on their invites and knew they were in for a nice and relaxed wedding.

Very welcome! It's always cute to do something unexpected. NO ONE expects to see their nickname staring at them on a wedding invite - and so many people told us that they had never seen it before, etc.. :)

So if you didn't have anything on the inner envelope, did you just address it to Mr. Doe and Guest on the outer envelope?

I didnt do labels but I did do writing on the inner envelope too.

Also for our widowed people we just Mrs. Jane Doe. And a few we messed up an did Ms. - Woops!
