so my dress is in and itsmermaid style and has silver crystals under the bust area- but other than that its simple and not too elaborate. I always envisioned myself in a ball gown type of dress- but turns out i went mermaid style.
well i already bought a cathedral veil.
now i like it, but of course now I'm liking something else MORE. i fell in love with those mantilla veils- u know those pretty veils with the lace around the edging? i think it is so delicate and feminine looking. i love how it frames the face.
Do you think since my dress has NO lase in it at all, it would look right together? i mean i feel like my dress is pretty simple. so the mantilla type veil will add to it. do you think the store will let me exchange my veil?

If your dress is simple then you could totally go with a lace veil..as long as the color matches your dress. I loooove lace veils. I got one with french lace only about wrist length..looks so pretty around the face. Only thing is with a lace veil, depending how intricate, you may not be able to wear that much big jewelry or a big headpiece since the lace really decks it up.

JMO, I saw the pics of your dress, and it's so sleek and sexy, that I dont think a mantilla would go so well with it. Although I do love mantilla veils, I am not sure it's the best choice. I would stick with cathedral length. Just being honest....

I honestly NEVER knew what kind of veil I have.... and I just looked up a mantilla veil to see what in the world you were talking about... and now i see thats what i have!
I think that's pretty... but of course im biased!! is it at all possible to go to the store and try on a dress simialr to your dress and put on the veil with it to see what it would look like. it doesnt have to be the same exact dress just something with the same features.

Hey I actually just took a look at the pics of your dress and come to think of it I don't think the lace will really go...maybe if you didnt have the sparkle in the center and it was all plain. Either way...I think your dress is beautiful!!

I just looked at your dress. I think you should try it on. if its the right one it might just surprise you. I dont know about the short or cathedral one... i'm picturing more the fingertip length one. but again i think you should test it.
My dress isn't as form fitting as you.. but it is a line and is somewhat fitted. here is a pic of a similiar dress to mine (i dont have any pics of mine.. this is sooo close though) so you can see...
IMO I don't think it will look good with your dress (which is gorgeous and looks great on you!!). I think you could definitely do a full-length veil but not one with lace edging.
