Lace wedding gown?

Is your dress lace or was it lace??

My gown (pic in albums) is a provnovias which is almost entirely lace with the exception of the satin underneath part. I am having BEYOND a difficult time with bridesmaid dresses.

I had originally thought a dress with a lace accent for the girls would be pretty. Laces mostly come in brown, black or ivory and ours colors are neither - they are blue.

We are concerned the ivory lace will clash with my dress or that it if it looks more white it will draw away from my dress :(

Any suggestions or pics of the route anyone else is going or has gone?

We prefer long and some what simple because my dress is not too over the top. I also prefer satin b/c while I don't hate taffeta I just personally think that lace and satin go better together.

Your dress is goregous. I love it. To me it looks very soft and romantic so I would perhaps go with soft BM dresses. Maybe something flowy and in a light color since you're having a spring wedding.

Hahaha I'm getting married in July and I convinced myself that my dress is soft too! I havent started the BM dress search yet but I think I want flowy dresses.

That dress was Melissa Sweet Style #MS218 but I'm sure you could find similar type dresses at a lot of stores. Good luck!

Hahaha I'm getting married in July and I convinced myself that my dress is soft too! I havent started the BM dress search yet but I think I want flowy dresses.

That dress was Melissa Sweet Style #MS218 but I'm sure you could find similar type dresses at a lot of stores. Good luck!

Very true! It's sooo weird buying things now for a party that's almost a year away. Makes me have to keep telling myself that I'm on the right track!!

I'm so happy I could help!!!! I hope the dress works out. I have spent a lot of time on the Melissa Sweet website. Her stuff is GORGEOUS!

My dress is entirely ivory French lace and the bridesmaids dresses are chocolate brown euro satin with champagne sashes. I would stay away from having any lace on the bm dresses. You should be the only with lace on her dress.

The ivory shouldn't clash - I was told that it will complement the color of my dress and not make it look dingy like white can. This also goes for the GMs / FHs tuxedo shirts - they should be ivory as well.

i think if your gown is lace, you should prob stay away from lace for the BM dresses. it might get too busy.

i agree I'm not getting lace for my moh bc I have lace on mine... I love that so many of us are branching away from the duplicate bride look for our bps
