Hi ladies. I know some of you are doing wine for favors. Are you taking off the original labels and if so where are you ordering your labels from? Is there a website for these things? Or can I do it myself with a template from Word? FH and I made our own White Zin and I didn't like the labels in the wine store. I would love to be able to customize the label. Help!

We are leaving the labels on and putthing them in organza bags with a tag.
I think you could do it in word or you can try this site http://www.myownlabels.com/ (i have never used it just looked around on there).

We are doing the same with organza bags. We might attach a tag to the outside, but haven't made up my mind yet.

Re: Ladies doing wine favors
I just found this site and I'm checking it out right now. It's pretty cool.
I'm soaking off the labels that are already on the bottle and putting on my own. I made my own in powerpoint, but there are a ton of sites out there that you can order from. Just google wedding wine labels.

Funny I just happened to log on and see this post..
This is what I did- I was about to customize the labels from that same site but I ended up just doing the organza bags and tags...saves time and also money too imo.
As for the wine we got it at Cappy's in Valley Stream... very reasonably priced and only took less than a week to get our order from them. I think we paid about $3.99 per full bottle- was well worth every penny- we did one bottle per couple. Everyone loved it!

I didn't use a template, I just found one online that I liked and recreated it using Powerpoint. This is it:

Also just wanted to mention we bought 108 bottles- (9 cases x 12 bottles in a case) obviously the more that you need the more they would discount it.

Re: Ladies doing wine favors
my own labels is a great site...
I am keeping the label and putting them in an organza bag and having our monogram hang off the neck. if that makes sense.
