Ladies--I need some comfort..I'm freaking out a little....

...because of my first fitting tonite. as you know, i'm a plump woman....(large and in charge)...and i am usually pretty confident. BUT the idea of trying on my gown for the first time tonite, is kind of freaking me out.

my gown is strapless, and i have fat arms. i know this, my mirror knows this...and when i ordered the gown i thought it looked good. but then my mom & brother were like 'you got STRAPLESS? sure that's a good idea?' (my family sux balls)

what if i put on the gown and think 'i'm a big fat marshmallow!' (bridezilla style!)

i need hugs and comfort ladies, i'm wigging out big time!!!!

You are beautiful and stop it!!!!!!!!!

Try that dress on with pride and when you have it on, you and only you will know how you feel in it.

Worse comes to worse, they can always add a little sleeve or something if you are more comfortable.

mel it's going to be fine. you are going to be a gorgeous bride. if you don't like the way it looks you could always ask them to put some sort of sleeves on it. but if you liked it on you in the first place, don't let anyone else change your mind. just remember it's how you feel in the dress - no one else. ok chica?

Can i just tell you that I think you are GORGEOUS! when i saw your makeup trial I was like 'WOWWWW!' you are gong to shine in your dress....and be gorgeous, so enjoy it! We all have things we hate about our bodies...but that's because we live in a world of airbrushed models that don't eat! ENJOY your first fitting & think about the true meaning of it all...marrying the love of your life!

Stop dont be silly you are beautiful..
Try that gown on and if worse case you dont LOVE it ask them to put a little cap sleeve that goes around your shoulders.
Dont put yourself down. You will look absolutely beautiful on your wedding day::

Trust me im in the same boat.....But you will look like a princess!!! You are 1 confident person...if we can see this through a PC screen...we know you can be that way once you slip into that gown today!!! Smile!!

don't wig out..as a fellow chunky monkey, I delayed even trying on a dress..but when I did and found the one that ' felt right'..didnt matter if I was a size 2 or 22...you'll look gorgeous!

I'm not going to tell you to stop it or 'you are being silly' b/c I think it's totally normal to feel that way- I know girls who are a size TWO that freak out before their first fitting. I don't think you are going overboard and I don't think you are being ridiculous- it's quite common to feel that way!! And I think anyone who says they had no worries before their first fitting is lying!

That being said- You are going to look beautiful no matter what!!! This is who you are and you embrace that which makes me envy you in a non-bitter way BIG time b/c people tell me that I look like I have this great body but do I feel confident? Hell no!! But you ALWAYS just gush with confidence and self worth which I think is awesome!! You will look gorgeous and you will love the dress on you... Remember when you first tried it on?? Remember how great you felt and how worried you were before that?? Then, when you tried it on you LOVED IT!!

Trust me, you will feel the same way again-- and if, for some reason, you want to add sleeves- then they can do that for you but I think strapless is elegant and will look beautiful on you!!! You have such a great outlook on things and a wonderful sense of humor-- 'my family sux balls' haha!! You kill me! But I think everyone's family is like that (or at least most)... Remember what I told you at dinner the other night- my Mom will, to the day I die, tell me that I could always still stand to lose a few pounds here or there and I'm a size six!! So, when they said 'it's strapless??' Just ignore them- they were not there, they did not see what you and the bridal attendants saw... And those Bridal ladies keep it REAL... They would have told you 'no way' if you looked bad- Trust me chica!!

I too won't tell you not to feel the way you do. It's a valid feeling. I'm on the chunky side as well so I well know how you feel.

Surprisingly, the dress being strapless will be to your advantage. You will proabably look better strapless than if you add anything to it. Trust yourself.

If you are feeling insecure, maybe try doing some exercises that will help tone your arms over the next few months. It might make you feel better. That's what I did for a few months before my wedding. It helped me to feel more confident.

Breathe! You're going to make a gorgeous bride in that strapless dress! When FH sees you for the first time he's going to be sooooo happy. Stop beating yourself up. You're going to be HOT!
