Ladies -- i need V-day themed party ideas

FH and I are hosting a Valentines themed party for a bunch of our friends. Its an evening party -- so I'll be serving desserts and hor d'orves (sp?). I want to do a warm, romantic feel to our apartment.

Anyone have ideas as to what to serve, how to decorate (centerpiece ideas, what to put around the room, etc.), and any other suggestions for the party???

I went to a wedding once, it was around vday and at the after party they have the bride and grooms name, ex. Chris and Jenn's Heart Rock Cafe. It was a very cute idea they had the whole room set up w/red and white balloons.

I would make some heart shapped sugar cookies and sprinkle some red sugar. You can have a sangria punch w/ heart shapped fruit in it.
Display your hor derves to spell out LOVE. Think of really chessy ideas, they are actually cute and people will appreciate it.

What about basing your party theme on a romantic movie?

like make the theme, 'You're the one that I Want!' and play up some Grease related things? Odd example, but i think you know what
i mean...
