ladies, i need your honest opinion

what do you think about this monogram? the picture quality su.cks, i just took a screen shot ...i'm gonna make a few more but your feedback on this first one would be GREATLY appreciated. TIA!!!

srry, im not a monogram buff, i wish i could offer some suggestions for changes but i think it looks great.

originally i wanted my wedding colors to be brown and red but i decided i couldn't really work the brown into the reception hall decoration so i went with white and red. now that i want a monogram, i went back with the brown and red cause i can't figure out how to do a white and red monogram unless i make a black background like this...

That's pretty! Are you having any accent color? Black, brown, silver, etc?

Also, what do you want to use the monogram for?

Ok I was playing with something and came up with this... I don't have all my fonts on this computer so it's harder to do, but let me know what you think...

That's so pretty!! (and yeah it is such a task to find a nice Q! why can't they have a nice initial like A or B!? ) what font is that? Accent color, what is that? I'd use this monogram for printing on the back of envelopes, and for designing my aisle runner.

sorry to crash girls..just wanted to say i love the monogram you came up w/ Yesenia. (Maybe its my screen but the red looks a little pinkish). Lupita, an accent color would be like...in my case, my main color is blue but it is accented by touches of brown and ivory throughout. Its not your main color but you plan to use it throughout your decor as an accent. Something that goes well with your other colors.

I think the one Mrs. Q made for you looks great, I also like the one you posted, but IMO I would probably take out the line, since it cuts into the Q.

Honest opinion? It's too hard to read. There's too much going on with the Q and the 'Lupita.' If you want such a fancy Q, then put your name on the bottom where there is more blank space.

I work in publishing, where we design our own book covers, so I do know a little bit about this stuff.

I love this one, I'm just not too sure of the A overlapping the Q JMO. Maybe aligned a tad bit more to the right. You did a great job though

The font I used is called Splendid Ornamentary - google it, its a free font.

Yeah, I guess the 'red' is a little pinkish - oops. I can make it a more true red.

Like Aug07OFCbride said, the accent color is usually (if you have one) a color that you use in conjunction with your main color. Sometimes you put it in with ribbon or with additional flowers, or just on your paper items, etc.

I personally really like brown and red together, so I'd stick with that.

Let me know if you'd like me to work on a few more for you. I have a ton of monograms in my album that I've made for other LIW'ers so I'd love to help, but I totally understand if you want to work on your own - no problem. Have a good one Lupita and everyone else - I'm going to 'crash' a wedding at my church at 3pm so I can see what a nuptial mass is like!
