ladies im totally freaking out!!!!

So as some of you know, i decdied to buy a second dress from this place in china. they do knock off designer dresses for very low prices. i paid under $200 to get a knock off of the pic below. so first they email me because they said one of my measurements was unusual. then they email me again when i reasured them i measured correctly. they asked me to remeasure again. so i did and got the same thing. then i emailed them to ask what the problem is and if they could explain it. they emailed me back saying they will call me tonight to explain. now im really paranoid that i wont be getting a dress. what if something is wrong! ugh

am i just overreacting?

I would just wait until they call you back and let you know exactly what the problem is. Don't freak out until there is something to freak out about.

i just dont get what the big deal is. they asked me to remesure my shoulder to bust and shoulder to waist saying my measurements are unusual.
I have faith that they will get the job done!!! lol i know i toook a risk buying through them but i figured its noly 200 bucks of my entire budget. it wont make or break our budget. i just really love this dress and want it.

Unfortunately that's the risk taken when buying the knock-off dresses. I'm hoping everything works out okay!!

Where did you order the dress from? I know someone who ordered from a place in china that made replica's and she didn't have a great experience with them.

I am sure everything with you will be fine- You have time if they cant furfill your order so maybe you will be able to find it somewhere else if they cant work with you.

Can I ask how come so many people get two dresses? Is it personal preference?

You won't like what I have to say but...

that's why I am leery of ANY company/designer based in China. I have heard horror stories, nor do I support such practices.

However, I think you should wait it out. See what happens. if it doesn't work out, see if you can get your money back.

i have no problem buying from china considering a lot of dresses that are 'designer' here are made in china. i dont expect to get a dress that's exactly like the original i just want a wearable dress! lol. i guess ill have to see what she says when she calls me tonight.

personally i dont love my first dress. its in my album if you want to see. i like but i dont love it. plus i want something more fun and sexy for the reception AND not as poofy lol. so considering i spent 3k for the first dress there was no way i was going to spend more then 1k for a second dress. i figured id take a chance and see what happens. so far the customer service is great and ive seen other girls dresses who ordered from there and they turned out fine. its peridress if you were wondering.

ill keep you girls posted on what happens after our phone call tonight! lol

haha they called me at midnight that night. ended up i did measure something wrong. i emailed her a picture of me measuring myself and she said iw as doing it wrong so she emailed me a picture of herself measuring the right way. we're all good and on track right now. still crossing my fingers it turns out okay. if it doesnt, no biggy, i still have my 'main' dress that looks pretty darn good on me if i say so myself lol

I'm glad it worked out, plus their customer service is great that she keep on email is a good thing it my book. Many brides on this site have had their 1st and/or 2nd made is China and they look wonderful. Some of the knock-offs look like original from the pics.

So again I glad it all worked out.

thanks! im sure it will all be fine. like i said, im not expecting the original designer quality dress, but at the same time i just want something that is wearable and made well. ill keep you updated when i get it in the mail!!

so far so good. they havent shipped it yet. still making the dress. im hoping by thanksgiving ill have it. i dont want to rush them. I'll keep you posted! It's so reasonably priced that i couldnt pass on it. I mean its my second dress not the first so if it looks like trash i dont wear it end of story o well lol

When I was in China, I had several suits made for me. The first 'go' at it, they used the main standard measurements that they took in the shop, but then I definitely needed a second fitting to adjust better to my body (to the measurements not included in the standard measurements). I found them to be professional and knowledgable, but obviously, every place ranges in quality. I wouldn't stress too much but would definitely book a good seamstress here in the states as I promise that minor adjustments will have to be made.
