Ladies, please I need your help.

Disregarding whether or not you'd be interested in having a reception there, I need to know how many people consider the LOCATION of Vineyard Caterers (just past Riverhead at the fork) to be too far away to have a reception. In other words, would you consider having a reception in that area, or would you rule it out based on location alone. Thanks ladies!

I have a wedding there next month and I have no problem with the distance or location, my only problem is with the bride that booked it on the Friday of memorial day weekend. It is going to take us four hours to get there with the hampton traffic!! If it is booked any other time than a holiday weekend I would have no problem.

Its your wedding and no matter where it is it is going to be far for some people and closer for others. You need to go somewhere you will be happy with. It is your wedding. people will get over the traveling. I did, we booked a hotel so we wouldn't have to drive home late at night.

if the ceremony is there or nearby, then it wouldn't be a problem.
I'v egone to weddigns in conetticut, so really its the smae difference for me ( from Westchester)
I'd just saty over the night before or the night after depending on the time.
It gets a little crazy if you have to drive an hour or more bewteen teh ceremony & reception though.

That being said, we did plan our wedding in LI even though we live in Westchester, for the primary reason that it would be easier for everyone else.

Thanks for all your comments. FI is freaking ouit right now about money and trying to convince me to cancel and have a small wedding (which I don't really want to do). I was trying to get a general idea, if worst came to worst and we ended up canceling, on whether the long distance to the vineyard would become an issue with them rebooking the date and us getting our money back. Thanks for answering the poll!
