I don't think you need to put renewal because it'll only be a few month after, so it'll still be new. Just do everything as normal.

No you dont. My brother got married at city hall and had a ceremony and reception 3 months later and sent out invitations without renewal of vows on it.

Re: ladies what do u think....
i had a civil ceremony july 17, 2008 with just my parents and a few friends present. and we are having our official ceremony and reception july 17, 2010 with both our families and all our friends. its techincally a renewal of vows....but its the first time in front of both our families and extended family so for us its a marriage ceremony.

You don't have to put renewal of vows. The time difference isn't much.

Re: ladies what do u think....
since its only a couple of months later i dont think you have to- but i'm just wondering whats the reason for the doing the civil service first- it seems like a couple of girls have done that- is there a benefit to that?

Re: ladies what do u think....
I wouldn't put it. No need since there are only a few mos between the dates. Usually renewal of vows is for people who renew their vows after a long period of time, like 10 years. Just do everything normally as though you hadn't gone to city hall

Re: ladies what do u think....
MY FH (my husband) and I have been together for 10 years so we both have been ready for quite some time but waited until we were both settled with our careers. He is in the military too so its a bigger paycheck for us.
