Ladies who have been on their HM

So Im sitting here thinking on what to pack for the HM so we know what luggage we need. Did you over pack or pack just enough? Also did you just do carry ons or check the luggage?
TIA

any vacation we've been on together i prob way over packed! usually a bunch of bathing suits, dress for dinner, and something to wear if we went out at night..shorts,t-shirts, tanks, a sweatshirt just incase, a pair of jeans just in case...bras, undies, socks, pj's! lol a little bit of everything! im the type of person that likes to decide what i want to wear that morning! i hate pre-planning my outfits so sometimes i feel like i need to bring everything just incase i change my mind! altho i never ever wear everything in bring! but i feel its better to have too much than to little!

we ususally bring one big suit case for each of us,and then a carry on for each of us as well! last time i might of even checked a smaller suit case for my shoes!

then you gotta remember all the crap you are going to buy and need to have enough room in your suit case to bring it all back! lol

Where are you going? If you're going somewhere tropical and hot, you really don't have to pack that much, because you're going to live in your bathing suit. It all depends on where you are going.
I will say though, THANK GOD for travel sizes, because the airlines are a pain in the you know what!

I haven't gone yet, but I am definitely checking. There is no way I can bring 10 days of toiletries in those little bottles you have to have to carry on. I would think about that.

But bring clothes in a carryon. Especially those doing layovers. I can't tell you how many times I have shown up in Hawaii or other places before my clothes.

I also say... OVERPACK. Its your honeymoon. You want to look good.

I overpacked a little. .there were one or two things I never used but mostly I just figure have a few nice things for romantic dinners, a few of everything else. . honestly i would just check your bag. . it's not that more time and so worth the hassle of not trying to lug it on, only bring travel size etc. . and DEF bring extra sunscreen . they will charge you like 3x the amount for it there!

and if you bring a little extra I figure who cares it's not like you're going backpacking or moving around a lot so if you just have to move your suitcase once it should be fine. .

We both over packed. We had to pay more $$ for our bags. We did not use most of what we brought. I wanted to make sure to have cute outfits for dinner, but it was colder than we thought, and I could not wear most of them. We went to Disney in January, and the weather was a little kooky. We each checked bags & carried on.

Just bring a few nice dresses, and comfy stuff, and of course a few suits, and you should be good! it's going to be so hot there! and bring PLENTY OF SPF! if you pay for it there, you will pay an arm and a leg, seriously!
Anthony and I each packed a suitcase, and i think there were a few things in there that I didn't touch the entire week. I lived in my bathing suit, and wore a few outfits when we went out to dinner, that was it.

We overpacked...I'd bring only the bare neccessities. Undies/Tees and Shorts. I brought several pairs of sandles which I never wore

Re: Ladies who have been on their HM

We underpacked. My thoughts were the same as all of you...pack one big bag and bring a carry on so its easier...well I was wrong. We were over by like 9lbs and they wanted to charge us $150!!!!!! So there we were at curbside check in taking stuff out of our suitcase and putting it in our carry ons. My advice...pack two bags.

Also, it depends on where you are going. We went to Sandals and they have a dress code for some restaurants. Now me being a NYer knows we tend to overdress for occasions more than others, so I thought it would be appropriate to bring khaki bermuda shorts to wear to dinner...well I was wrong. I only brought a few evening appropriate outfits and I still felt underdressed. If I could do it all over, I would have packed more sundresses.

Also, dont pack the night before like we did. We ended up forgetting a ton of stuff. We were mid move the month before our wedding and our stuff was everywhere. I really should have packed weeks before but just didnt think about it.
