ladies who paid or are paying for their whole wedding

did you include your parents' names on the invite?

We wrote together with our parents...we paid for the reception and church our parents paid for limo,dj,lighting so personally I thought it wouldnt look right if we hadn't wrote that...but I dont like the whole, adding their names and daughter of....def old school for me.

No, we did not. Our invites read 'Together with our families, we request the pleasure of your company at the wedding celebration of...'

we had our parents names included and then last night we were reading it and i thought it might sound better without them... BUT my parents saw the one with the names and i don't want to upset them now.

but FH is big on ppl not thinking my parents paid for the wedding, so i don't know which way to go.

We did 'together with their families'

My mom isn't paying because she can't afford it and I don't want her to be left out. FH's mom is giving us a decent chunk toward the wedding as a gift and my sister is paying for flowers,

We paid the wedding ourselves and no we didnt include their names.

That was big for us, too. Not to sound greedy, but people might be inclined to give less if they thought our parents had paid for it. Not sure about your crowd, but that probably would've been true for ours.

def true for ours too! plus we are really proud of the fact that we were able to do it by ourselves.

I don't think the fact that we're paying for the wedding has anything to do with it...we just decided the invite looks less cluttered, and I really didn't want to figure out how to include my mom....the word deceased doesn't look good on an invitation IMO

Together with their families is what we're using too.

We are also doing
Our names 'together with their parents'
FH's parents are divorced, and FH & I are paying for everything so this way is easier!

This is exactly what FH said!!! We are paying for it ourselves and we are not putting our parents names on the invites
