We did not include our parents names because we have 100% did everything and paid for everything ourselves and it's kind of like we're throwing this celebration for us and you're all invited! That is just how we felt about it though.

I do think though maybe even though your parents didnt contribute monetarily its fine and respectful to include 'Together with our parents' or 'Together with our families'

As long as no one will get upset do what you feel is right.

We did 'Together with their parents'

Both of our fathers passed away so it would be sad for us to not have their names on it, plus we're paying for it by mostly ourselves so it seems suitable.

I've been contemplating this too... we are paying 100% ourselves... but I know my brother is giving a big wedding gift and our parents have mentioned they want to try to give something... I've been on the fence because their names really don't belong on there, but at the same time.. I want to put 'Together with their families' to kind of include them.

We have made a point (over and over) to say that we are 100% paying for our wedding and our house ourselves, so it might not be necessary to COMPLETELY keep them off there..

we are paying for everything ourselves. We didnt include our parents on them. But his parents are divorced and my dad is dead. It would have been too complicated imo

We didn't. We chose not to partly because we didn't want people to think our parents paid and also because there's too much confusion. My parents are divorced. Fh's parents are divorced. FH's father is remarried. FH's mother remarried but is divorced from husband #2, but FH considers his step-father more of a father than his bio dad. Way too many people to include.
