Ladies who used ribbon wands

If you made then yourself...
How long did you make the ribbon? I am trying to DIY them and my mom is saying 12 in is enough but i think they are too short.

I made each Ruffin about 3 feet long, then tied it, so each ribbon was about 1.5 feet long....I used three ribbons of different colors per wand

i never measured it, per say....but i used an 'arm's length'

i took the ribbon in my hand, stretched it out, and cut it around my shoulder area.

i also used three different colors.

they were pretty easy to make.

we also bought some sturdy looking popsicle sticks from michaels instead of the wooden dowels. MUCCHHHH cheaper ! and they do the same job!

they all look awesome guys I love them! Were they a pain to make? Did you use hot glue or double sided tape?

I used neither

I screwed an eye hook in one end of each dowel. I used a thumb tack to make a guide hole, then screwed in the hook

Then I spray painted they amm silver

Then I tied the ribbons through the hook!

this is what i did
except i didnt spray pain them, i wrapped the ribbon around the dowel to make it look better.

they were super easy, I dont remember how long I made them, I want to say 1.5 feet? and I did 3 strands of ribbon
