Ladies with a tall FH/DH...

My FH is 6'6...and we just moved in together so we're looking to buy a new bed. He wants to buy a California King, but as we've been looking for bedding to register for I'm noticing that California king bedding is impossible to find!!!
Have you run into this problem? I'm thinking maybe we should just buy a regular king (even though his feet actually hang off a little bit!!)

my husband is 6'3, and we sleep in a queen bed. I am also 5'11' and this bed is long enough for me. Neither of us hardly ever stretches out fully, but I can understand that being 6'6' and not wanting your feet to hang over the edge. You might have to do research on sheets, but at least your FH will be comfy. You also have to make sure there is enough room in your bedroom for it.

A queen bed is exactly 6'6' long, a king is 6'6', and the cali king is 7' long.

The one annoying thing about Cal King sheet sets is the pillow cases. They are also Cal King sized. So on normal pillows there's so much excess pillow case!!!

Thanks for your response! Where did you get your California King bedroom set? Does a California king bed need a California King headboard and footboard, or do you just buy a regular king set with a California mattress?

I think it's a Cal King headboard and footboard. It's from American Drew. I don't think a Cal King would fit on a regular king set. The Cal king isn't as wide as a regular king. The inches are taken from the width and added to the length of the bed. I hope that helps!
