Ladies with birdcage veils

Ladies with birdcage veils

I picked mine up from Barrons on Sunday...it looks beautiful, and the fascinator I love...but when I tried to put it on at home...it seems too poofy to me...like too much material.

I wanted it to come only to my nose...the lady at Barrons told me to loop in on the comb to shorten and if it is wide, the hairdresser can pin it to how I like. I know I am not that coordinated, so I couldnt make it do what I like...but did anyone have this problem and the hairdresser was able to make it look ok?

I am thinking i may have to bring it back and make them shorten it even if I have to pay more.

You can seriously adjust a birdcage a lot with just bobby pins. It's hard to do on yourself though. Maybe before you go back to the store, sit in front of a mirror and work with a friend or your mom pinning it to your head to see if you can get it the way you want it.

For help, you can watch THESE VIDEOS. They have tips about how to position it, etc.

hey sorry I haven't bought a veil yet, but I'm going to get a birdcage veil as well, and I'd like to learn how to wear it well as well. Sometimes I think they don't think they look right. They have to have just a bit of poof , and end at the right place on the face. I'd be very interested to know what people have to say about how to get it right.

Thanks!! I have been on this website a million times and never saw the demos..i have seen some on You Tube, but she has more here.

This is actually the site that inspired my veil. I had Barrons recreate one.

I am most likely going to end up paying to have another hair trial.with the veil this time...but I want to fool around with it a little myself for my own peace of mind.
