ladies with channel-set wedding band (with pic)

i haven't talked to my jeweler yet but i thought of posting this question to those who have a channel-set wedding band...

are the inside of your ring (the side with the diamonds) covered or exposed? like, are the bottoms of the diamonds exposed?

mine is exposed and i'm trying to figure out if it is at all possible to close it/cover it with gold so that it's smooth on the inside? does that make sense?

lately i've been having a rash on my ring finger and i think since i don't take my band off, some residues build up in that exposed area which causes this rash!

help!

I have one that is open, like yours. However, they're much smaller.

You might be able to get a ring-guard for the inside, but I'm not sure.

Have you gotten it deep-cleaned lately? Also, maybe you're getting soap in there and should take it off when you shower, wash hands or dishes.

My girlfriend has a ring like that and she always gets a rash under it in the summer.

MY skin is sensitive and my e-ring is channel set but solid ont he botton (so is my wedding ring but I obv don't wear it yet, so IDK) and I don't ever get a rash.

I don't now if they can fill it in or not though, but it's very possible that's the cause. Good luck!

I'm sure your jeweler can fill it in but might advise it won't be as shiny (I was told the exposed bottoms are for light to refract through, making the diamonds sparkle more). Def try jewelry cleaner to get rid of any residue or harsh chemicals that might be trapped inside! Good luck!
