Ladies w/white gold rings

Does yours yellow alot? Im kind of wishing I never switched from my platinum e-ring to this one.

Is there a way to clean it other than always having to go to the jeweler?

mine hasn't turned yellow. that stinks my jeweler said soak it in windex.... HTH

edited sorry soaking it in windex would clean the diamond of the ring and make it shinier... (sorry)

I have to get mine dipped because it looks like its turning. I believe iam getting it dipped with rhodium. To keep it from turning.

Re: Ladies w/white gold rings

depends on the material in the white gold,
all gold is really yellow but white is mixed and chemically treated to look white,
some people react differently with white gold,
my right hand ring yellows alot and FH told jeweler that when he had my engagement ring made and he used a different mix in and no yellow so far!!!!!

I have a white gold ring. I haven't seen it turn yellow at all - I've had it since last july - how long does it take to turn yellow?

mine is white gold and I've had it dipped once already. I will get it dipped again 2 weeks before the wedding.

you should take it to be re- rodiumed....or however you spell it. Its what makes white gold shine like it does. Im taking mine in today because my jewler sized it for me and she didnt have any rodium at her house. It just makes it not as shiny and a little yellow hue....you should be fine :)

YES!!! around the back.. I hear it has something to do with the acid level in your body. if it's high, your white gold turns faster, which is my case

I never even realized this until reading this post, but mine is turning yellow on the back a little. Can't believe I never noticed this!

Re: Ladies w/white gold rings

Like many others, I've had it dipped after a year and right now it's a little yellow underneath so I should get it done again (and it's been a year).

Do you think the more you dip it the less you'll have to get it re-dipped?

Mine hasn't yet, but I'm sure it eventually will because most do. I guess it depends on how much you wear it or take care of it. Platinum never turns but it's
