Does yours yellow alot? Im kind of wishing I never switched from my platinum e-ring to this one.
Is there a way to clean it other than always having to go to the jeweler?

Re: Ladies w/white gold rings
Mine hasn't started turning, but I've only had it since 1/11/08.
My mom and dad have white gold rings and theirs has been white for the last 41 years.
I really hope mine doesn't turn.

Mine hasn't yet, but I'm sure it eventually will because most do. I guess it depends on how much you wear it or take care of it. Platinum never turns but it's
i wear it everyday and never take it off so maybe thats why it turned so fast

Re: Ladies w/white gold rings
Your white gold is yellowing because it probably was originally yellow gold.
My ering is white gold- they had to re-size it and the morons re-sized it with yellow gold instead of white and they dipped it. Only the section they fixed turns that yellowish color. I have had it rodiumed (sp?) but it stills turns yellow.
The rest of my ering that is white gold and my wedding band that is white gold don't turn.

Re: Ladies w/white gold rings
Mine always Yellow, the oils in your skin can make it turn more...it cost me 15 dollars to dip one rings. its the same maintenance a platinum because you have to get it polished or it looks flat.

Where do you get it dipped in Palladium? Is that better than Rhodium dipped?

Re: Ladies w/white gold rings
Mine is white gold but I haven't had that issue yet... you need to have it re-dipped to get rid of the yellow.
I never wear mine to bed or in the shower so that may help to keep it white longer.

Re: Ladies w/white gold rings
Mine is still looking good but I want to have it done before the wedding. I noticed it looked a little 'duller' than my band when it came in and I put them on side by side.

Re: Ladies w/white gold rings
OMG!!!! The bottom of my ring is yellow. I had no idea it could turn yellow and I called my FH and yelled at him about it turning yellow. Someone told me white gold is actually yellow gold and they dip it in white gold. I think it has to be re-dipped to take the yellow out but im not to sure. I havent fixed my ring.

How much is it to ge tit redipped? Mine hasn't turned yellow yet, but the band itself is pretty scratched up.

Re: Ladies w/white gold rings
I found this online:
'To create white gold, yellow gold is alloyed with other metals .But gold will always keep the yellowish shade so it is dipped in a rhodium liquid chamber that covers it with a white rhodium coat.
Signs of wear, including scratches, will inevitably appear in all precious metals including platinum. When your jewel will develop visible scratches it is the time for maintenance, re polishing and re dipping it (in case of white gold).Dipping is a two minutes procedure.'
so does the diamond have to removed and re-mounted to dip the ring?
