yeah,. at my brother's wedding we didnt do a cardbox we did a locked briefcase that was also locked to the head table. not that we didnt trust the guests but lots of people come and go and especially at a venue like a hotel where anyone can wander in amidst the partying a cardbox can be an easy target

This is why I am glad to that nobody who is not directly involved with my wedding will be at my hall that day.

My bridal suite had a safe. So the attendant would take our cards and put them in the safe immediatly.

we're placing the card box right beside our executive table (which is elevated and situated right smack in the middle) and assigning watchers just so this won't happen to us.
