Lady Mendl's
I brought the girls in my BP to a high tea at Lady Mendls this past weekend (I know I am a slacker at posting)
We had a great time. Here's my official review
Our reservation was at 4.30pm, and we were slightly late. I didn't realise that all the tables were served together, so in the beginning we were a bit rushed. If you like tea - this is the place to be - 5 irish (or almost irish) chicks gabbing over tea and finger food... back to the review. I opted for the strongest tea (conneseur (SP)) and IMO it really was the best. Some of the other teas looked pretty weak. The food was awesome
first course - salad (field greens and misc. in a light dressing) just enough to get started

finger sandwiches - 4 types - cucumber, smoked salmon, turkey salad (I thought it was chicken salad) and sundried tomato pesto / spread

fresh scones with fresh clotted cream and preserves (strawberry I think)

OMG this was so awesome - CREPE CAKE. Layers of crepes with cream in between. OMG so delicious. Melt in the mouth yummy

shortbread, choc/walnot cookies and choc covered strawberry.
Everything was great. My BP met each other for the first time (well they all kind of knew each other, but 2 knew each other better and the other 2 knew each other better)
I definately recommen it as a little something different...
