Lame me

I bought a bike and today was the second time I went riding . I fell 2x What a lame a$$. My hand is B&B and my leg hurts... I think I may need training wheels again. THe worst part is for safety I bought a helmet and I am sure I looked retarted if you saw me.... I feel so silly......

I'll tell you a bike story and then you'll feel less lame.

A few years ago, when I was still in college, I needed to go up to the art store in town to buy a canvas. I thought 'oh what a nice day, i havent ridden my bike in awhile, maybe i'll do that.' So I took my bike up to the story, maybe 1/2 mile. It was so hard! I could barely pedal, and I jsut kept thinking 'damn I am so out of shape!'

I got home, and told my dad about it. He pointed out to me that both tires were flat.

I'm an a$$!!!! See, you're not so lame

My bike story dates back to about 1988...8 years old...crush on the kid down the black. I was riding down the alley way behind my Grandmother's house...riding along and there he was...the kid I had a crush on..he must've been like 12 then LOL So, I see him and get flustered..before I knew it BOOMMMM ....into the wall..fell down....tire spinning as it flew out from under me. Talk about embarrasing!

So I learned my lesson and now I don't do anything active

ok...FH and i dont have our own bikes since we live in a basement apt. and it would be too hard to store them....but we used his parents bikes one day (which i think they might have used once...they are old school looking)

....and i felt LAME, lol! i was riding his moms bike and it has a freakin basket in the front!! we couldnt get the damn thing off so i rode it anyway. both bikes also have little pouches with all these things in them like tire patches in case of getting a flat, etc. his dad is always 'prepared' for everything, it's too funny. i felt like a nerd, but didnt care b/c i had fun, lol.

They actually make new old school looking bikes. FH wanted me to get one.. So Image me with one of those and a helmet or me on my brite hot pink bike and my black helmet fallin in the street. Horrible

don't feel bad. I didn't learn how to ride a bike until I was 19 and I only did because I had to because I was on vacation with college friends and the only way to get around the island was by bike. So they taught me in the parking lot of the resort. I hit 2 cars and my college roommate
