Lamest excuses you got from people not coming to your wedding?

We got two pretty lame ones:
One guy's wife said they can't come to the wedding b/c he doesn't own a suit. Mind you, he said he owns a sports jacket (which would be fine with us if that's what he has!), but his wife said that wasn't good enough. These are good friends of FH's parents.
Another person who lives in NYC said she's not coming b/c she doesn't feel like driving and she's not sure how to get there by public transportation. I offered to get public transportation directions for her and she said no. It's fine if she just didn't want to come -- but she had to give me this lame excuse b/c she never RSVP'd to the wedding. Had she RSVP'd that she wasn't coming, I wouldn't have had to ask her about it.

well i haven't gotten any lame no excuses yet, but i did get someone who added her daughter because she wants her to get used to going to weddings. mine is just practice

awwww i am sorry ~ I have a couple of people that told me that they might not be able to make it but did not give me a reason! I am sad but just think the ones that dont make our wedding they are missing out!

My godmother (mom's bf) called that week to say she wasn't coming b/c her and her boyfriend broke up and she didn't want to go alone. This was after we made our final payment!

My godmother (my dad's only family here) entertained the notion of not going because she didn't want to drive in the dark?! We finally convinced her it'll be okay.

WOW these excuses are crazy..But whats sad is out of all of them some of my and FH guest have used about 3-4 of them already Now I really know some of our acquaintances are alittle wacko!!
