Okay so my FH said that the landlord called yesterday asking he could show our apartment (we're moving out in 4 days). So my FH went to call him back and the landlord said he went ahead and showed it. Without our permission!!!
Now its aggravating because i know that he can come in and out of our apartment if the landlord wants... but can he show someone else our apartment without our permission? I mean the place is a diseaster since we're moving... why would you want to show that anyway? Couldn't he have waiting the 4 days to show it when it was empty?
The bad part is... we know the person that he showed it to and we're not a fan of her. She's quite the gossiper and i'd rather not have her looking at my stuff. I could have had lingerie around or some kinky sex stuff (if i had that ) laying around for all they know. It's just not right.

Re: landlords... is this allowed?
I am not a landlord, but from experience NO this is not allowed. You can go to the town and report them. Tenants have rights too. He was supposed to ask your permission first and let you know someone would be coming by and if it was ok with you to show while you are not home.

I'm not a landlord either but from what I understand they can not just come in to your apartment they must give you 24 hours notice and you must approve it. (this is just what I've been told)
