Land's End??

We're now looking at Land's End for an April wedding. I've only seen the website so far but I'm sending my parents there to check it out. I won't be able to see it for a couple of weeks (I live in San Francisco), so I'd appreciate any feedback. How was the place? location? service? food?
Thanks everyone!

Land`s End??

I can tell you the food is great. Lovin Oven is the caterer and they are fantastic. By the way, I had my dress made by someone out in San Francisco. Have you found a dress yet? Her stuff is beautiful if you want a reference!

Thanks Misha

I do have my dress. I didn't expect to find it so soon but once I saw it I had to have it.
Thanks for the thought and for the feedback on L's E.

Land's End

I went to Courtney the banquet manager's wedding there last October. It was wonderful...great food, service, and location! You might want to do a search on it, a lot of people have posted about LE here. If you have any specific questions, please ask.
Continued success!

Land`s End

I am having my reception there is November. I have heard nothing but good things about the food, service, etc. It is a beautiful hall, my fiance and I fell in love with it as soon as we went in.

Land`s End

Im getting married there next July...I made an appointment because a friend of a friend recommended it and was thinking as I was driving out, 'this is too far out, maybe I shouldn't even go.' But when I walked in I fell in love. Every detail is amazing. The dancefloor has an amazing, very classy design of different woods, the huge windows (floor to ceiling) look out to the Bay, you can see the Fire Island Ferry pass by, the table cloths, silverware and plates were even great. (They never make you upgrade to the nicer things...EVERYTHING is included) It was renovated about 3-4 years ago, so everything is still so plush and rich. Even the bathrooms are to die for. They have a separate cocktail area and if weather permits, you can have it outside on their deck under the awnings. Im having the ceremony there as well, by the gazebo. I went there in May and the flowers were great (I don't know what it would be like in April). And the whole place is yours, no other parties.

Everyone who works there is great. I have been working with Gina, but also stopped by unannounced and Courtney was just as great. The prices are more expensive then others, but as I said they don't tell you if you want the nicer tablecloths it will be more money, etc...

Lovin' Ovens owns Lands End as well as other places and I have never heard anyone said the food was anything but amazing... They also have a plethera of top shelf alcohols...including many great beers on tap...I think thats a nice touch.

I actually spoke to 2 people who used to work for Lovin' Ovens and said nothing but good things about them and that they are EXTREMELY clean. Every Monday they go around with toothpicks and Q-tips to clean everything.

As you can probably tell, I love the place... If you have any other questions, please email me [email protected]

Land`s End

My fiance and I heard about a friend who was getting married at Land's End - so we decided to check it out ourselves when looking for our hall. Big Mistake - we fell in love with it and it was both too expensive and too far away. Our hearts were broken - if you have a wedding at Land's End, it will be the most amazing night of your lives!

I felt the same exact way when we went there! It was the first place we looked at, fell in love, but it was too expensive, and they wouldn`t budge on the price. I was so upset! In retrospect, it would have been too large for our party, anyway.

cost

if cost is a concern - they did say the prices were lower from november to march - maybe into april too!

I would have jumped at the chance to have a wedding during a slower time but i teach so i have to have a summer wedding :( We chose the Crest Hollow instead and are so excited about our choice. We just hope that a relative will be getting married there soon so we can go and experience an event there :)
