Re: lands end, atlantica and giorgios
After doing a lot of researching and looking, we focused our hunt to five places: Land's End, Atlantica, Crescent Beach Club, Harbor Club and Giorgio's.
Here were our perceptions of the three that you asked about in the thread:
1) Atlantica-- Absolutely stunning-- although it does look better on the web than it looks in person. FH liked that more than having a nice view, the room had an indoor/outdoor feel. Didn't live the drive-up or the fact that you had to walk up steps past the hotel's fitness club to get to the ballroom. It also didn't seem like you got a lot for your money. Only one station at cocktail hour, nothing but cake for dessert, you had to upgrade your menu to get filet mignon, you had to choose salad or appetizer, etc. I really adored the place, but we are 'food people,' so I was really torn. And, of course, it's a long ride for guests from the city and Jersey, who might not otherwise consider themselves candidates for overnight stays at a LI wedding. I also wasn't quite clear how they would turn the ceremony space into the cocktail hour area quickly enough for it not to be a logistical nightmare.
2) Giorgio's-- Also quite beautiful, but not really on the water, and we really wanted a waterfront ceremony-- that was our priority. Definitely gives you the most for your money. The cocktail hour area looks like it might get crowded, and the decor wasn't FH's taste, but I thought it was gorgeous and the grounds are beautiful. But like Atlantica, it's very far east, and we didn't want to drive all the way east and not even have a chance to have the waterfront ceremony we envisioned.
3) Land's End-- This is the one we picked. The waterfront views are nothing short of spectacular, and the food is amazing-- and for the same price as atlantica (our Saturday afternoon was the same price as Atlantica's Sunday afternoon) we are getting a whole lot more food. The deck for cocktail hour is beautiful and the whole place has a very classy, but not overdone feel. It's very elegant, but retains that seaside charm we wanted. I am doing every dance for sunshine and thinking lots of dry thoughts for Memorial Day weekend, but other than that I have no stress aboutthe reception location. I know we are in good hands with Lovin' Oven. And it's much more conveniently located than the other two.
They are all beautiful places. (We had a VERY tough time deciding between Atlantica and Land's End.) You'll be happy with whichever one you choose.

Re: lands end, atlantica and giorgios
We just went to look at Atlantica this Saturday! I was really excited to visit this reception site because I have always loved the feel of Dune Rd. Although the drive-up is just how everyone above mentioned...I thought Atlantica was BEAUTIFUL, and the lady who walked us through everything was great. Very friendly, very straightforward, and made us feel instantly comfortable. Here's what we learned... Atlantica does not do weddings Saturday nights during the months of July and August. They are contractually obligated to save those evenings for hotel dining. We were quoted for a Saturday evening in June, and the price was $193 pp. If you are flexible on your days (Friday evening or Sunday) then I would recommend checking out the place!
As for Georgio's....We attended a wedding there last May, and it was great! The cocktail hour was phenomenal, and the environment and surroundings were gorgeous!
Land's End...I grew up right around the block!! It's very very nice!
Good luck to you!!

Land's End and Giorgio's are great. Land's End on a Saturday night starts at $150 per person. Atlantica is closing temporarily in January 2006 for renovtations, so what you see now may not look the same by July 2006.
Just an update-the renovations at Atlantica are just in the kitchen and the bridal suite. The rest should still be the same. It's beautiful, and doable depending on what you want.

I don't know exact prices! I do know Lands End is around $155 a pp for Sunday and more for Saturday.
I love Lands End so much! My cousin had her wedding there, and it was beautiful and the food was great.
Never saw Atlantica, but it looks beautiful.
Went out to Giorgios and it was nice, decor is not my taste. I heard the food was good.

Re: lands end, atlantica and giorgios
Hiya... I wrote this review below under 'Rate the Hall' ...I cut and paste it, and here it is...hope this helps. Just to let yo uknow, i laughed when i read your email, because the are the three I had to choose from...Lands end, i loved the view...but really wasnt crazy about the inside and way way way too expensive, Atlantica again had a beautiful view but was very expensive---too casual inside, wish it was more formal...And Giorgios, well read the review below, elegant , and although it also was $$$ , between the food, atmosphere, service...what can i say...i still have yet to here one bad thing about the place...Good luck--Hope this helps! WE are getting married in May 2006 at Giorgios...any other questions, FM me.
My top three were in the following order: 1- Giorgios!!! (Hands down) 2-Vineyard Caterers 3-Eastwind 5-Lands End(beautiful. but VERY pricey)
Theses are great if you want a more intimate wedding...We picked Giorgios because they are SOOOOO helpful, very personable, Mr. Giorgio is such a sweet , helpful man who is willing to work with you in any way to make YOUR day perfect, the food is THE BEST, and a HUGE part is because we have spoken to at least 25 peoplwe who have attended weddings or have had their wedding there, and NO ONE has had a single bad thing to say. They truly rave about the place(Not to mention it is beautiful, quiet, only one wedding, and if you are a beach person, it is steps away, which I LOVEEEE!! Wish my wedding dress was as easy as a pick as ths hall was. Best of Luck!

Giorgio's. Price-wise I think it's the best deal (not to mention that it's GORGEOUS and the people are just so nice). I spoke with Atlantica and it was out of my price range. Land's End is supposed to be great also but I think slightly higher in price than Giorgio's from what I recall.
I'm having a June Sunday afternoon wedding at Giorgio's, and for what's included, I feel like I'm getting a good deal, FM me if you want details ....

i agree with this statement...we wanted lands end but price was steeeeeepp!!! girgio's price is less + you get more. Lands End, some thing that you expect to get normally (valet parking) are extra.

Re: lands end, atlantica and giorgios
If July 1, 2006 is your date, I know Giorgios is booked... Only because we held the date, AND THEN cancelled the hold of the date and someone booked it in the same day...Of course something out of the ordinary could have happened...
Lands End I heard is beautiful as is Atlantica

We just really loved Land's End..in our opinion , the atmosphere ,food and service is everything here Atlantica looked beautiful, but it just seems too casual..for the price! I really am not familiar with Giorgios at all, and have not heard anything about this place. Hope that helps..Good luck

Re: lands end, atlantica and giorgios
Lands end quoted me $175.00 for the summer 2007 and you had to guarantee 185 guests. Too Much $$$$ When you add in tax and gratuity its over $220 per person

Re: lands end, atlantica and giorgios
I loved Atlantica, especially the ballroom. The only reason we couldn't seriously consider it was that we were going to have a summer wedding with a LOT of OOT guests - hotels in the Hamptons during the summer are soooo expensive, if you can even find one. Just something to consider if you have OOT guests as well

I am biased......but you can't beat GIORGIO's!! The food is amazing, you can take beach, golf course, and garden pics all right there!! It is family run which I feel is very important....we stopped by on the day of a wedding and saw two of the family members running their butts off..... THEMSELVES!! They have a showcase in the end of FEB. if you want to try the food and check the place out set up.....you'll be even more excited about it!!

Re: lands end, atlantica and giorgios
I've only been to giorgios for a wedding, but i have been to dinner at atlantica. I really liked atlantica because its very open and lots of light. I also liked that you can have some of it outside on their patio if you want.
Giorgios... i was so impressed with this place. It was my first time there and i didn't even know it existed. I loved it. I thought the cocktail hour was great (tons of excellent food) and the hall was gorgeous. Loved all the chandeliers. I actually checked into giorgios for my wedding and i was surprised to find out how inexpensive it was. $89-$115 for an october wedding.
Good luck!

Re: lands end, atlantica and giorgios
I am biased...I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Atlantica! I love how open the room is, the food is awesome, the staff are amazing, you cant beat the ocean view, your only issue is that it would have to be on a friday or sunday, because they dont do weddings on saturdays during the summer.
I went to giorgios..I personally did not care for it, I found it to be very wedding hall like, and that was something I wanted to avoid.
Lands end is gorgeous from the outside,I have never been inside, fh is from Sayville and refused to go look there
