Land's End Brides!

I have FH's cousin's wedding there next weekend I can't wait to go!!!! I'll give ALL details afterwards! I'm looking forward to seeing this place very much...it would have been one of the gazillion places we looked at for our RH but it's too far so this is my first time checking it out!

That's great, can't wait to hear the details! I'm partial of course, but I bet you're going to love Land's End.

Can I just add a little RAVE too...the cutest thing. We signed our contract a few weeks back, and Jennifer Barnett, the bridal manager from Land's End, just sent us a congratulations card with a $150 gift certificate for dinner at 21 Main Steakhouse in West Sayville. Okay, the people who own LE own the restaurant and they probably want us to have the RD there, but it's still a really nice gesture!

Hi Land's End Brides!!!

I have a question....is anyone else feeling like they have to get high centerpieces because the walls in the ballroom are totally bare? I saw pictures from weddings with high CPs and low CPs and I feel like the high CPs look so much better in that room. Am I nuts?

No, you're not nuts. I totally agree. High CPs are the way to go, the ceiling is so freaking high I think the low CPs will be lost - even WITH the pin-spot lighting...

I'm glad I'm not alone! Have you seen those hanging paper lanterns that Lovin Oven floral can provide? I was there the other weekend when they were setting them up over the dance floor and they looked kinda cool!

Yes!!! They're MINT! Yeah, I said mint.

I only saw them in pics though, but I loved the look... I went to Lovin' Oven but I didn't get a quote from him - if you end up going there can you tell me the quote you get?

I booked Flower Michele as the florist... I bet Lovin' Oven would charge me more b/c of that!

OOOO, can I ask what you were able to get from Flower Michele? I'm starting to panic about flowers because I'm worried that what I want will break the bank.

When I saw them getting put up Jen Barnett said that the lanterns start at $400. If I end up coming into a little extra money, I am definitely going to get them! She said that they shine spotlights through them!

Re: Land's End Brides!

It looks like Camerakrazie had those lanterns for her wedding a couple of weeks ago as well. I was wondering where they came from when I saw her pics!

Are you girls going to integrate candles into your CP's? I think the candle light would look great with that high ceiling...

Jess - I'm with you on flowers. I thought it might be an area where we could save some $$, but it seems like it going to be a lot more expensive than I thought. We're meeting with Pedestals and Burton this weekend, then Flowers Michelle and Lovin' Oven two weekends later. I'm interesting in what Lovin' Oven quotes because I'd just assume go with them since they are right next door (and can fix something if it's wrong the day of).
